Clubs in Canada:
- National Whippet Club of Canada Objectives of the club are to promote activities pertaining to the Whippet breed across Canada; to encourage members to respect and adhere to the breed standard as approved by the Canadian Kennel Club; and to unite Whippet enthusiasts from coast to coast for mutual support and benefit of the breed.

- Whippet Club of British Columbia The Whippet Club of BC was formed to promote the Whippet breed and sponsors CKC lure coursing for all sighthounds, an annual CKC Whippet Specialty Show, and NOTRA oval racing for all sighthounds.
- Lower Mainland Whippet Association (LMWA) Formed in 1981 and operating in Vancouver, BC and the surrounding Fraser Valley. The LMWA holds regular practice sessions as well as organizes and hosts lure coursing trials throughout the year, a Whippet Specialty show and a Sighthound Field Trial Conformation Specialty.
- British Columbia Whippet Racing Club The club is based in the Lower Mainland of British Columbia, and sponsors straight and oval racing for whippets.
- Racing For Fun CWA Whippet Racing Group in Abbotsford, British Columbia.
- Alberta Lure Coursing Association (ALCA) The ALCA is located in Edmonton, Alberta and has been holding sanctioned lure coursing trials since 1980.
- Ontario Racing Association An All-Sighthound Race Club hosting both CARA and NOTRA Race meets.
- Ontario Lure Coursing Association (OLCA)
- The American Whippet Club (AWC) The AWC is the national breed club for Whippets within the American Kennel Club. It promotes the showing, responsible breeding, obedience training and competition, lure coursing, and versatility of the Whippet breed.
- North American Whippet Racing Association (NAWRA) The NAWRA was founded in 1988 and organized for the purpose of encouraging and promoting the Whippet in its historic role as a well trained racer competing against other Whippets in organized straight racing events over uniform distance, held on a flat, natural surface; to improve the Whippet breed by encouraging and promoting Whippet racing in the United States and Canada; to issue rules, maintain records, and award Championship certificates to outstanding racing Whippets; and to promote friendship and understanding between Whippet owners and Whippet racing clubs.

- The Whippet Club (Britain) The Whippet Club was formed in 1899 and is the world's first Whippet breed club and the only breed club in Britain to cater to all working Whippet disciplines.
