The Boxer is an intelligent, energetic, and self-confident companion.
Originally bred for hunting and later used as a guard dog, today's Boxer is often seen participating in various dog sports, including Obedience, Agility, Tracking, and Schutzhund. The breed is also seen working in Search and Rescue as well as Therapy.
The Boxer is of medium size, has a short, shiny coat that comes in fawn and brindles of varying shades.
He gives an appearance of strength, agility, elegance and style in his gaits.
His face shows expressions of curiosity, excitement, happiness, surprise and sadness.
