  • British Columbia

    Off Leash Dog Areas — Coquitlam

    City of Kamloops - Dog Friendly Parks — The City of Kamloops provides areas where dogs are allowed on and off leash. Parks that permit dogs provide an outdoor setting for owners and their pets to exercise and socialize.

    City of Surrey — Dog Off-Leash Areas

    Current off-leash park areas in Surrey are:

    • Dogwood Park

    • Freedom Dog Park

    • Serpentine Dog Park

    • Tannery Dog Park

    City of Vancouver — Dog Off-Leash Areas in Vancouver Parks
    Includes map and locations of parks.


  • Alberta

    City of Calgary — Off-Leash Parks — Includes information and park listings throughout the city.

    City of Edmonton — Off-Leash Parks — Edmonton has over 40 sites where a dog can run and play off-leash.
    Directories include Neighbourhood and River Valley off-leash parks.


  • Saskatchewan

    City of Regina — Information about dog-friendly parks in Regina. Regina's first off-leash dog park is the Cathy Lauritsen Memorial Off-Leash Dog Park located by the multi-use pathway system along Wascana Creek, west of Lewvan Drive, south of 13th Avenue.

    City of Saskatoon — The off-leash areas throughout Saskatoon are meant for licensed pets only — unlicensed pets will be fined if found in an off-leash area. See the website for a listing of off-leash park areas.


  • Ontario

    Bayview Park — Leash-free dog park in the city of Burlington.

    City of Hamilton — "Leash Free Zones" and "Dog Parks" — The city recognizes two types of leash free parks:

      Dog Parks which are fenced facilities where residents have the opportunity to exercise their dogs off-leash within a controlled environment without being in contravention of municipal by-laws; and
      Free Running Areas which are those areas which have been set aside for residents to exercise their dogs off leash without being in contravention of municipal by-laws. These areas include designated parkland and public open spaces under the jurisdiction of the City of Hamilton.

    London, Ontario has 3 Off Leash Dog Parks:

      - Greenway: Located just west of Wharncliffe Rd. off of Springbank Dr.
      - Pottersburg: On the south corner of Hamilton and Gore Road
      - Stoney Creek: On the west side of Adelaide Rd. just north of Windemere.
      All 3 parks are totally fenced with doubled gated entry systems and a small dog area.

    Town of Markham — A permanent Dog Leash-free area is established at the northwest corner of Miller Avenue and Rodick Road.

    City of Toronto — Leash Free Areas for City Dogs — Includes a list of parks and locations.
