Physically, the Australian Shepherd is a medium size dog, slightly longer than tall. Coat colours are either blue merle, solid black, red merle, solid red, all with or without white markings and/or copper points. The Aussie's eyes are very expressive and can be brown, blue, amber or any variation or combination of these. Eyes may also have flecks or marbling.

Our goal at Oracle Australian Shepherds is to be able to share Australian Shepherds that will be their family's heart dog and best companion. We breed for a willingness to please, a desire to be with their people, a sound and smart mind, as well as health and longevity. We love an active Aussie that is still easy to live with and enjoys long walks, hikes, games or training followed by a quiet night in the house with their people.
Our dogs all live with us in the house, so we know what makes a great companion and we want to share that with other active families.
All our dogs are health tested and attain a Championship and/or performance titles before they are bred.

Breeding old style, good looking, biddable Aussies for farm, family or competition (herding, agility, conformation, performance, etc.). Corbett Aussies began back in the mid 1960s and Diju Aussie began in 1975 with me raising, breeding and enjoying Aussie conformation, herding, dog sled racing, agility, obedience, travel companions, you name it, until 2004. Life caused me to step out of dogs for several years but 2013 saw my first litter in 18 years with new and exciting lines, based on my old ideas of dogs.
Diju Aussies is a small working kennel with a focus on breeding top quality working dogs, puppies will be available on rare occasions to select homes. If you are considering the adoption of a puppy of any breed, it is very important to be selective in choosing a responsible and reputable breeder. While it is our goal on this website to only include listings of responsible and ethical breeders of purebred dogs, and there is certain criteria that must be met in order to be listed, we can only rely on the honesty of those submitting the request. Therefore, we cannot recommend, nor do we endorse or support any one of these listings. If you are looking to purchase a puppy, it is your responsibility to do your research in learning what to look for in a breeder. (For more information on selecting a breeder, see the articles on the main Breed/Breeders section: Information for the Potential Puppy/Dog Buyer.)
In addition to the Breeders listed here, the Breed Clubs generally include listings of member Breeders on their web sites and, if not, then a listing can usually be obtained either by e-mail or telephone. We do not randomly add Breeders to any listing. All Breeders listed have requested to be included either via a general link or paid advertising.
If a young pup is not an absolute requirement for you, then considering the adoption of a dog from a rescue organization or shelter is strongly recommended. Each individual breed section on the Canada's Guide to Dogs web site includes listings of Rescue Organizations specific to the breed. In addition, Breeders occasionally have young adults available and many also take in rescued dogs. To learn more about adopting a rescue dog, please see the Rescue Organizations & Shelters section of the web site. This section includes several articles and general information along with listings of shelters and rescue organizations that are not breed specific from across Canada.
