Dog Guides

Lions Foundation of Canada

A fun 5 km walk for people and pooches of all ages.

In dozens of communities across Canada, Lions Clubs and volunteers are busy organizing a "Walk for Dog Guides". This fun-filled pet-friendly event spotlights the contribution of Dog Guides to improving the daily lives of Canadians with visual, hearing, medical or physical disabilities. People of all ages and abilities are encouraged to come out. Leashed dogs are welcome guests, although you don't have to bring a dog to participate.

Where: K9 Central, 2836 Holt Rd. Bowmanville

Conformation seminar offered by Bob Rowbotham. Bob is the CKC Director for Eastern Ontario, CKC judge, and has handeled dogs professionally for almost 20 years. Bob is an engaging instructor and makes his course both fun and educational for all skill levels. Please come out to support our new club and enjoy a day of fun with your dog and friends.

Cost is $45.00
Bring a lunch and a dog

Pet Photos with Santa

Find out if your cat or dog has been naughty or nice as Santa pays a memorable visit to Purina PawsWay (245 Queens Quay West). Capture that special moment between Santa and your pet and help support a guide dog. Children and families are more than welcome too!

Cost: $12 per photo session (includes one print and $2 donation to the Lions Foundation of Canada Dog Guides), $6 per additional print, and $5 per digital copy (taxes not included)

Note: Santa and his elves will take a one hour lunch break from 2pm to 3 pm each day.
